The IBM Centre of Excellence is sure to give the students an opportunity to learn proven technologies such as DB2 and operating systems. This in turn will improve the employability of the students. Industrial standards are being brought to the academic institution by this effort. We are grateful to IBM and the management for this effort.

Prof. S.K.Mohan, HOD, CSE

Message of HOD, IT

Students from different disciplines should work together to bring out quality engineering products further. A sort of simultaneous work on a CAD model by different teams, from concept to realization of finished product using the latest software tools will ensure international quality.

Launched in 2004, TGMC is an innovative program that addresses the need to better educate millions of students for a more competitive information technology (IT) workforce by partnering with colleges and universities. Every year, the growth and reach of TGMC has increased, seeing a marked increase in the number of students who are keen to participate in such an endeavor. In fact, TGMC is now listed in the Limca Book of Records as the largest technological contest of its kind – testament to the fact that there is a need in today’s competitive world for such an initiative that supports, guides, and challenges students to higher goals.

More than 200 students from Marian Engineering College have registered in TGMC 2010 & 2011
