ALUMINI ASSOCIATION OF MARIAN ENGINEERING COLLEGE (MECAA)

Report of the first meeting of the Alumini Association of Marian Association of Marian Engineering College(MECAA)

The meeting was held in the CGPU hall of Marian Engineering College on 10/12/2011. The meeting started at 11.00 AM. Rev. Fr. George Paul, Manager, made the welcome address. Prof. Tomy Michael, Principal, delivered the presidential address and Dr. M. Sasikumar, Professor EC, and Prof. Dhananjayan, Professor IT, gave the felicitation addresses.

Mr. Abin (EC), Mr. Shameer (CS), Ms. Galeena (EC), Mrs. Devi Sankar (EC), Mr. Niyas (EC), Mr. Reji (IT), Mr. Deepak (EC), Mr. Manu Mohan (ME) spoke on the occasion. They stressed the need of close collaboration of Alumini members with the college to improve academic matters and employment opportunities. Alumini members would come to the college (at their convenient time and date) and address the students. Meeting of the students can be arranged for addressing of the Alumini members for importing their technical / job experience, etc. All Alumini members are welcome for this. It was also decided to give awards to the meritorious students and best all rounder.

Alumini Committee was constituted as follows: President Principal Patron Manager Vice President Mr. Shameer (CS) and Prof. Dhananjayan (Staff) Secretary Mr. Vinod (ME) Co-ordinators Dr. M. Sasikumar (Staff) and Mr. Satheesh (Staff) Treasurer Mr. Joseph K M (Staff) Joint Secretaries Ms.Thasmeen Shajahan (CE) and Mrs. Veena Vijayan (Staff) Student Representatives College Chairman Executive Committee Abin N A (EC), Niyas (EC), Reji (IT), Meenu Mary (CS), Parvathy. U (CE), Deepak (EC), Manu Mohan (ME)

Executive Council can meet once in every four months (April, August, December) and general body can meet in December on Saturdays closest to 25th of December (X’Mas)

The meeting came to an end at around 1.30 PM.
